LAGOS | 3 Seminary School Girls Abducted In Ikorodu

Reports reaching AN24 suggest that armed men    Monday night, invaded Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary  located in Ikorodu area of Lagos State and abducted no fewer than three students of the school.
There are reports that the gunmen stormed the school
at about 8pm and took three female students along with them. The school, located at Agunfoye-Lugbusi village, is owned by the Anglican Communion,Lagos Diocese. The gunmen forcefully gained

entrance into the school at about 8.30p.m by breaking through a fence and whisked the schoolgirls away. They fired several shots into the air as they entered the school.
The police has confirmed the development. The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Dolapo Badmus, said detectives have swung into action to secure the release of the girls.
The state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, was said to have spent the better part of the night in the school and surrounding bushes and villages in search of the girls.
The motive behind the kidnappers focus on the school could not be immediately established, it was learnt that their focus might be the children of a relative of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode believed to be in the school.
In fact, the source was emphatic that the school authority had to immediately alert the Governor’s brother, who in turn reportedly spoke with Governor Ambode, who immediately ordered massive police deployment to hunt for the kidnappers.
